The Colorwave Fellows Program
Designed to equip early career Black, Latinx, and Native American professionals with the training they need to navigate and thrive in the VC-backed startup ecosystem.
Over eight weeks, Colorwave fellows learn best practices and create personalized game plans for transitioning to the VC-backed sector.
Fellows will commit to 4-6 hours of weekly work and participate in intimate speaking events with leading VCs, entrepreneurs, tech executives, HR leaders, career coaches, and other industry leaders.
Program Overview
WEEKS 1-5: HOW IT WORKS
Fellows learn how to operate in the startup ecosystem from an insider’s perspective, advocate for and package themselves to employers, and navigate a startup as the ‘only one’ or ‘the first’ Black, Latinx, or Native American employee.
WEEKS 6-7: CREATING YOUR GAME PLAN
Fellows develop a plan for their future transition to the VC-backed startup sector and begin making connections with prospective ecosystem partners for open roles or expanding their professional network.
WEEK 8: END OF COHORT CELEBRATION AND OFFBOARDING
Colorwave connects fellows to interview opportunities with ecosystem partner companies.
Each Colorwave fellow class will be divided into community groups that will serve as a support system during and well beyond the program.
